Parker Solar Probe Sends First Photo From Inside The Sun’s Atmosphere

The hottest thing on the internet right now!

The Parker Solar Probe, which was launched from Earth by NASA last August, has sent the first ever photo from inside the Sun’s atmosphere a few weeks after making its first and closest-ever flyby of the Sun.

The image, published by NASA on December 12, contains a small bright dot, along with several other black dots. It turns out the bright dot is Mercury and the black dots are repeats of the little planet that occur because of the way the picture is constructed.

NASA aims through this probe to study the Sun closer than ever before by sending the said probe into its atmosphere where it can capture various fields such as its magnetic, electric, and particle fields.
